Resource DatabaseAs a recipient of this training you will gain access to the Resource Database, learn the type of information to collect on agency's providing services to disaster clients; how to enter this information to create new or edit existing agency service profiles; and learn how to use tools and resources to facilitate the data entry process in client's records.
This training is only intended for those agency personnel assigned the responsibility to collect information on community resources used by the agency's staff.
Audience:
Agency staff members responsible for enter agency and service profiles to be reference by case managers.

Objectives:
- Understand the responsibilities and requirements of a user with access to edit the Resource Database.
- Understand how to access, add and update agency and service profiles in the Resource Database.
- Use data entry fields to enter meaningful information consistent with data entry formats.
- Understand the basic and optional information needed to maintain useful profiles describing your agency's services and those provided by other agencies serving clients.
Skills:
- Locate and create agency and service profiles in the Resource Database.
- Enter agency and service descriptions using available fields consistent with purpose and data entry formats.
- Utilize tools to facilitate adding multiple services to one agency.
- Use resources and job aides to assist in the data entry process.
Prerequisites:
- Must be a registered CAN user.
- Data entry skills.
- Time to enter and maintain resources in the database on monthly basis.
- Knowledge of services provided by your agency.
- In a position to communicate with outside agencies to collect information on agencies and services available in the community.
- An agency provided email account.
